Promidea is a Social Cooperative involved for twenty years in the planning and providing of services for people at risk of marginalisation. The implementing agency is qualified for the design and execution of specialisation training, training for completion of compulsory schooling; vocational and continuing training, in favour of those at risk of marginalisation (Quality Certification Sector 37). It is also accredited by the Region of Calabria in the training of special users such as migrants and prisoners; and it is accredited by the Region of Sicily, for the Guidance and/or Vocational Training (macro-typology B). The main intervention areas of the Social Cooperative Promidea are Social Inclusion, Cooperation and Training.

Social inclusion is at the core of Promidea activities and it intervenes by offering a network of integrated services ranging from the support in finding the margining cause to the assistance for overcoming it, namely:

training and job placement (use of instruments for active labour market policy, such as job training and orientation, internships, scholarships, etc.);
orientation on the territory (its structures and its services);
social secretary and support in handling practices. Vocational training is one of the main instruments of active labour market policy and on this basis Promidea intervenes by offering to these vulnerable people the opportunity to acquire, update or perfect their professional skills, with the goal to improve and facilitate their placement in the labour market or to prevent leakage.
